Meet P. Angie Rake, DDS

P. Angie Rake, DDS

Dr. Rake received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1997. She then completed an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship at the Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She is a graduate of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery advanced training program at the University of Minnesota.

In 2002, Dr. Rake joined Dakota Valley Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

She remains active as Adjunct Associate Professor in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. She lectures on numerous topics locally and nationally. She has gained national attention for safe and responsible opioid prescribing and office-based anesthesia. She has been featured in the New Times, Washington Post, NBC Universal and local media outlets.

Dr. Rake is a Diplomate with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. She is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, and Minneapolis District Dental Society.
She is past President of the Minnesota Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Currently, she serves on the Clinical Governance Board with US Oral Surgery Management, a NIH-NIDAMED Contracted Panelist and an appointed member and President of the Minnesota Board of Dentistry.

She enjoys all sports but has a love for tennis, biking and running. She lives in the south metro on a working farm with her husband, oral surgeon, Dr. Scott Rake. She has one adult daughter who is a student and artist in New York.
